La nouvelle formule de jeu style interclubs sera de retour en 2022 au Championnat partie par trous masculin. Celle-ci permettra à tous les joueurs qui y participent d’y trouver leur compte avec des journées amusantes, mais aussi compétitives.

Cette formule permettra à tous les joueurs de disputer un minimum de 3 rondes en 2 jours et pour, ceux qui se rendront en finale, de jouer un total de 7 rondes en 4 jours chez les amateurs, et de 6 rondes en 4 jours pour les séniors.

Voici comment le championnat se déroulera :

Formation des groupes

• Les joueurs seront séparés en 6 groupes de 9 joueurs (amateurs);
  
• Les joueurs seront séparés en 3 groupe de 9 joueurs (séniors);

• Une liste des rangs sera déjà préétablie pour séparer les joueurs de façon équitable à travers chacun des groupes (cette liste est disponible dans la section Rang des joueurs).

1re phase - style interclubs

• Chaque joueur disputera un total de 3 rondes au cours des 2 premiers jours du tournoi. Les journées seront séparées de la façon suivante :
• Jour 1 : 18 trous en après-midi (ronde 1);
• Jour 2 : 18 trous en matinée (ronde 2) et 18 trous en après-midi (ronde 3).
• À l’intérieur de chaque groupe de 9 joueurs, chacun des joueurs affrontera un total de 6 adversaires différents (style interclubs), soit 2 matchs par ronde.
• Le but est d’amasser le plus de points possible pour terminer parmi les premiers de chaque groupe et ainsi passer à la phase 2 en partie par trous.
• Amateurs (16 joueurs poursuivront à la phase 2) : les 2 premiers de chaque groupe passeront à la phase suivante. Les 4 derniers joueurs seront sélectionnés parmis les 6 groupes en prenant ceux qui auront fait le plus de points.
• Séniors (8 joueurs poursuivront à la phase 2) : les 2 premiers de chaque groupe passeront à la phase suivante. Les 2 derniers joueurs seront sélectionnés parmis les 3 groupes en prenant ceux qui auront fait le plus de points.

• Les points lors des parties seront octroyés de la façon suivante :
• Victoire : 2 points
• Égalité : 1 point
• Défaite : 0 point

NOTE : toutes les rondes de cette phase seront jouées en trio.

2e phase – Volet partie par trous

• On entre dans la phase partie par trous traditionnelle où l’on doit absolument gagner pour continuer.

• Les parties seront jouées de la façon suivante pour les amateurs:
  • Ronde des 16 : jour 3 en matinée;
  • Quart de finale : jour 3 en après-midi;
  • Demi-finale : jour 4 en matinée;
  • Finale : jour 4 en après-midi.

• Les parties seront jouées de la façon suivante pour les séniors:
  • Quart de finale : jour 3 en matinée;
  • Demi-finale : jour 3 en après-midi;
  • Finale : jour 4 en matinée.

• Chacun des joueurs qui passent à cette 2e phase aura déjà une place prédéterminée telle qu’affichée dans la section Horaire du tournoi.

The new playing format, inter-sectional style, will again be played in the 2022 Men's Match Play Championship. This will allow all the players who participate in the event to find what they're looking for in a fun but competitive atmosphere.

The format will allow all players to compete in a minimum of 3 rounds over 2 days and, for those who make it to the final, to play a total of 7 rounds in 4 days for the amateurs and 6 rounds in 4 days for the seniors.

Here's how the championship will work:

Group Formation

• Players will be separated into 6 groups of 9 players (amateurs);
  
• Players will be separated into 3 group of 9 players (seniors);

• A list of ranks will already be pre-established to separate the players equitably across all the groups (this list is available in the Players Rank section).

Phase 1 - Inter-Sectional style

• Each player will compete in a total of 3 rounds during the first 2 days of the tournament. The days will be separated as follows:
• Day 1: 18 holes in the afternoon (round 1) ;
• Day 2: 18 holes in the morning (round 2) and 18 holes in the afternoon (round 3).
• Within each group of 9 players, each player will face a total of 6 different opponents (inter-sectional style), 2 matches per round.
• The goal is to collect as many points as possible in order to finish in the top of each group and advance to the Match Play bracket composing phase 2 of the event.
• Amateurs (16 players will move on to phase 2): the first 2 players of each group will move on to the next phase. The other 4 players will be selected from any of the 6 groups by selecting the players who will have earned the most points.
• Seniors : the top 8 players of the group will move on to phase 2.

• The points during the games will be as follows:
• Win: 2 points
• Tie: 1 point
• Loss: 0 point

NOTE : all rounds in this phase will be played in treesome.

Phase 2 – Match-Play Brackets

• We enter the traditional Match Play Bracket where you must win to continue.

• The games will be played as follows for the amateurs:
  • Round of 16 : day 3 in the morning;
  • Quarterfinals: day 3 in the afeternoon;
  • Semifinals: day 4 in the morning;
  • Final: day 4 in the afternoon.

• The games will be played as follows for the seniors:
  • Quarterfinals : day 3 in the morning;
  • Semifinals: day 3 in the afternoon;
  • Final: day 4 in the afternoon.

• Each of the players who advance to Phase 2 will already have a predetermined spot that is posted in the Calendar section.

NOTE : all rounds in this phase will be played in twosomes.
